01

Site Details

Enter the public website address and sitemap location.

02

Choose Crawl Areas

Public areas are crawlable. Private, system and generated areas stay out of the index.

03

Generate Basic .htaccess Protection

Starter Apache rules for common public_html mistakes. Merge into existing files carefully.

Do not overwrite an existing .htaccess without a backup. WordPress, Laravel, custom PHP routing and redirects may already depend on it.
04

Readiness Check

Check that the homepage, robots.txt and sitemap are live before submission.

05

IndexNow Submission

Generate a key file, place it at the site root, then notify participating search engines of new or updated URLs.

Submission tells search engines about URLs. It does not guarantee ranking or indexing.
06

Google Search Console

Google sitemap submission needs verified site access through Search Console or an OAuth connection.

This starter keeps Google honest: use it to check and prepare the sitemap, then submit manually in Search Console or wire the included architecture into a Google OAuth flow later.

  1. Add or verify the site in Google Search Console.
  2. Open the Sitemaps report.
  3. Submit the sitemap URL.
  4. Use URL Inspection for individual priority pages.

Do not use Google’s Indexing API for normal webpages. It is limited to specific supported page types.
